About Recycling at eQuip Books

We live in a society that seems to be paying more and more attention to the environment and our impact on it. Lots of companies proudly share that they are going green, that they keep trash out of landfills, or that they have gone paperless. At eQuip Books, we too have worked to ensure that our negative impact on the planet is as small as possible. Since starting eQuip Books, we have donated hundreds of thousands of books and magazines to local nonprofit organizations that support and promote paper recycling.

Although a significant percentage of our acquisitions end up being pulped and turned into post-consumer recycled paper products, we view this as the last possible destination for acquired items. A modest percentage of these items are sold through either our online division or our discount store. For items we can’t sell through our own retail divisions, we are working to develop growing re-distribution channels so that such inventory can be provided at low or limited cost to other like-minded organizations or businesses both in and beyond our region. In these ways, we hope to continue to evolve into a company who thinks differently about our products, our planet, and our ability to leave it a better and cleaner place for generations to come.
